RTA exempted children below 5 years from paying mobility fare
Roads and Transport Authority exempted children below 5 years of age from paying mobility fare on public transport modes in Dubai, including Dubai Metro, provided they are in possession of Children Nol Card obtainable from the RTA. Moreover, RTA also exempted children whose height is less than 90 cm from travel fares in all modes of public transport, and they won’t need to be issued with Children Nol Card either.

RTA has also set a concessionary fare for seniors, as well as school and college students. The applicable fare for these categories using the unified card is fixed at 90 fils in short trips not exceeding 3 km, 1.15 dirham for traveling within a single fare zone, 2.05 dirham for travelling within two fare zones, and 2.90 dirham for travelling within 3 or more fare zones. The e-purse of a 30-day travel card is set as 200 dirham for seniors and 170 dirham for students.
