RTA Helps Smokers Quit
Following the huge results made by Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in safety and health education at all levels, Human Resources & Development Dep’t at RTA Corporate Support Services Sector has recently organized a day to combat smoking and treat smokers in association with the Ministry of Health and Dubai Healthcare City. The event, which aimed at helping smokers quit this lethal habit, is part of a campaign witnessing participation of several public & private entities across the UAE with the aim of turning up 10 thousand pledges to quit smoking and refrain from using any sort of tobacco in the UAE.
“The awareness day, which covered delivering educative, medical, and health information as well as guidance to RTA employees about the importance of quitting smoking, spanned three locations across the RTA. Events of the campaign kicked off from RTA Head Office at Umm Ramool after which it moved out to Silicon Oasis and to end up at Public Transport Agency” said Kawthar Kazim, Director of Human Resources & Development Dep’t.
